Requirements and plans
New requests: from what you want to approved work
Describe a result or pick a Knowledge page; review a brief and a breakdown into epics, features and stories; a colleague approves; the items appear on your board once.
Plan › New request. No connection, runner or AI is needed: only Yavaren Boards.
Describe what you want
Write the result you want in plain sentences, or use headings such as Requirements, Acceptance criteria, Out of scope. You can also start from a Knowledge page you can read; the request keeps the page's version. Choose the Boards space the work goes to, then Draft the brief. Nothing is created yet.
Check the brief
Each line says where it came from:
- As written: your words, or a section of the page.
- Read from the wording — check it: for example, a "must" sentence taken as a requirement.
- Not said yet: a question about something a brief needs that your text does not say, such as who the users are. Yavaren never fills a gap with a guess.
Check the breakdown
Yavaren proposes only the levels your request needs: a single story, a feature with stories, or an epic with features. Acceptance criteria are placed on the story they are about; a story without any says so.
If an existing item looks the same, it is shown with a score. Near-identical ones are proposed as Use the existing item instead of creating a duplicate. For each item choose Create it, Use the existing item or Leave it out, and change titles as you like.
Review and approval
Ask for review sends it to your organisation's members (Waiting for you). Another member opens it and presses Approve what I read. If anything changes after that, it needs approving again. You cannot approve your own request.
Then Create on the board. The items appear once, with their criteria, under their parents. If Requirements is switched on, a draft requirement is added to the register for review there.
